Treatment in the intimate area is a matter of trust. If the customer chooses treatment at the Prevention Centre in Zurich, an examination should be first carried out by the gynaecologist. No incisions or sutures are necessary for the minimally invasive process. As the treatment is largely pain-free, local anaesthesia is not usually required. The individual laser units only take a few minutes and can be performed on an outpatient basis. During the actual treatment, a rod-shaped laser is introduced into the vagina. The MonaLisa Touch® laser emits laser beams that penetrate the tissue gently in a 360 º radius. The laser scans the entire vaginal mucosa in a targeted and continuous movement to achieve a complete and lasting result.

As a rule, customers can resume their normal activities directly after treatment. However, in the interest of a successful treatment outcome, we recommend that you abstain from sexual intercourse for 2 - 3 days. Naturally, after the surgery, we inform our customers about all post-treatment steps that should be followed. The number of laser sessions needed for optimum therapy success depends on various factors. Each woman is different with varying physiological conditions. In addition, every woman responds differently to the therapy. The majority of clients can look forward to a noticeable improvement in their quality of life after treatment. Others might require a complete laser cycle of 3-5 sessions to achieve the desired treatment goal. After the first laser treatment, we will assess in the Prevention Centre whether and how many more sessions are required. The individual treatment appointments are usually held 4 - 6 weeks apart. In order to permanently maintain the result achieved, an annual refresher is recommended.
