Biography
Dr. Federico Mayo is a specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery and a partner at Clinic Utoquai. After studying medicine at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and completing his doctorate in surgery, he began his extensive specialist training, which took him to renowned clinics such as Toronto General Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital in Canada.
With over 25 years of experience in plastic surgery, Dr. Mayo is a proven specialist in breast surgery. His range of treatments includes breast augmentation with implants or autologous fat, breast reductions, breast lifts and breast corrections. He also has particular expertise in modern facial rejuvenation procedures such as the deep-plane facelift and transconjunctival blepharoplasty. Thanks to his precise surgical technique and keen aesthetic sense, he achieves particularly natural and harmonious results.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mayo was a lecturer in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Salus Infirmorum College of the Pontifical University of Salamanca for several years. He was Head of the Plastic Surgery Department at the Beata María Ana Hospital in Madrid for over a decade before taking up his post in Zurich in 2018.
