Well-defined chest and abdominal muscles are considered very attractive – especially for men. But sometimes there is not enough time or muscle for regular visits to the gym, and sometimes genetically determined small pockets of fat persist despite intensive training. With a six-pack operation at our prevention center in Zurich, the desire for a six-pack can still be fulfilled.

Frequently asked questions about six-pack surgery
Can you have a six-pack operated on?
Yes, this is generally possible with liposuction. However, six-pack surgery is primarily suitable for people who already have a relatively well-defined body shape. This treatment is less suitable for people who are very overweight, as too much fatty tissue would have to be removed in order to clearly contour the underlying abdominal muscles.
How does a six-pack operation work?
During a six-pack operation, the excess fat deposits in the abdominal area are specifically suctioned out. To do this, a so-called tumescent solution is first injected into the fat cells. This loosens the cells so that they can be suctioned out more easily. In this way, the underlying muscles can be exposed and contoured in a targeted manner. Unlike traditional liposuction, the focus here is not on removing the fat cells but on precisely defining the abdominal muscles. The more pronounced the existing muscles are, the more successful this is.
If necessary, the surgical treatment can be supplemented by the targeted injection of a special filler (Lanluma). The particles it contains stimulate the body’s own collagen production and thus provide more volume. In this way, the six-pack can be modeled and contoured even more precisely.
What should you consider before six-pack surgery?
The prerequisite for a six-pack operation is that the customer is close to a normal weight and has been maintaining this weight for several months. The more pronounced the abdominal muscles already are, the easier and more precisely the muscles can be defined by the operation and thus achieve the desired result. A healthy diet and regular exercise are also important – not only as a prerequisite for the treatment, but also to maintain the treatment result in the long term.
How does a six-pack operation in Zurich work?
Before every treatment at our clinic in Zurich, you will have a detailed personal consultation. This will focus on your wishes and expectations and whether these can be fulfilled with a six-pack operation. If so, you will receive comprehensive information about the procedure and the risks of the operation. Of course, you will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
On the day of the procedure, the corresponding surgical areas or the contours that will later appear as a six-pack are marked on your upper body. A tumescent solution is then injected into these areas, which fulfills two functions: Firstly, it contains a locally effective anesthetic, and secondly, it loosens up the fat cells. These can then be suctioned out more easily. This exposes the underlying muscles. The operation takes between 1-4 hours depending on the desired result (definition of only the front or also the side muscles), the amount of fatty tissue to be removed and the type of anesthesia.
If the procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia or general anesthesia, you can leave the clinic afterwards. You will then need to wear compression garments for a certain period of time. You will also be given further recommendations for aftercare to help you heal.
What should I bear in mind after a six-pack operation?
After about 1-3 days, you will usually be able to go about your daily life again. To support the healing process, you will need to wear compression garments for a period of 4-6 weeks, and sometimes lymphatic drainage is also recommended. During the first three months after the operation, make sure that the operation area is not exposed to direct sunlight. You should also avoid physically strenuous activities during this time. After healing is complete, however, you should resume sufficient exercise (sport) and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Otherwise there is a risk that the result of the operation will be impaired.
When do you see the results after a six-pack operation and how long does it last?
Immediately after six-pack surgery, swelling occurs in the surgical area. This subsides on its own during the healing process, but this can take some time. Exactly how long varies from person to person. For most customers, the swelling disappears after 3-4 months, after which the final result becomes visible. Provided a healthy and balanced diet and regular exercise are maintained, the results achieved with six-pack surgery can last for several years. Lanluma injections also support the result. Its effect unfolds within 2-3 months and lasts for up to two years.
Are there any risks with six-pack surgery?
As with any operation, there are general surgical risks with six-pack surgery (and also anesthetic risks in the case of general anesthesia). In individual cases, circulatory disorders, wound healing disorders or infections can occur. These risks can be minimized by professional execution and adherence to the highest standards of hygiene, which are a matter of course at the prevention-center in Zurich. In some cases, the skin may feel tight after the operation.
