In the course of life, the skin loses elasticity and becomes increasingly flabby. Pregnancy or weight fluctuations also put a lot of strain on the connective tissue, which cannot always fully recover afterwards. Skin tightening can help here. At our prevention center in Zurich, we offer the innovative Renuvion® treatment, which tightens the connective tissue safely and effectively so that a change is visible immediately or a few days after the treatment, depending on the area of application.

  • Experience in Renuvion® treatment
  • Detailed consultation and surgical planning
  • Highest hygiene and quality standards
  • Short downtimes
  • Rapidly visible improvement in skin elasticity

Frequently asked questions about Renuvion®

What is Renuvion®?

Renuvion® is an innovative skin tightening procedure that can be used either as a stand-alone treatment or following liposuction. The procedure uses helium plasma and radio frequency energy to create a plasma jet that shrinks the connective tissue fibers. In this way, a direct tightening of the connective tissue can be achieved and the body’s own collagen production stimulated at the same time.

What is the procedure for skin tightening with Renuvion®?

Skin tightening with Renuvion® begins with a local anesthetic or twilight anesthesia or (especially if the treatment is performed after liposuction) general anesthesia. As soon as the anesthetic has taken effect, the areas to be treated are precisely targeted with the helium plasma jet. This penetrates the tissue and heats the connective tissue fibers for a brief moment before they are cooled back down to body temperature. This tightens the fibers and stimulates the production of collagen. Due to the short and deep effect, there is no risk of superficial burning, instead the effect is achieved quickly, safely and lastingly. If the treatment is carried out following liposuction, the same puncture sites are used so that no additional incisions are made.

Allow yourself to rest for a few days after the treatment before going about your daily business again. If you have had a neck lift, you should sleep in an elevated position for the first few days afterwards and stretch your neck with a neck roll or towel. If skin tightening has been performed on other parts of the body, it may be necessary to wear compression garments. You will be given details of this in the preliminary consultation before the treatment.

Which areas can be tightened with Renuvion®?

Renuvion® can be used to tighten the skin in many areas: the face and neck, upper arms, back, stomach, bottom and legs.

Is anesthesia necessary for skin tightening with Renuvion®?

Yes, but the type of anesthesia depends on the areas to be treated and whether the skin tightening is to be performed in combination with liposuction. In a personal consultation at our prevention center in Zurich, we will inform you about the respective options and which anaesthetic we recommend.

When are the results visible after skin tightening with Renuvion®?

The first changes are sometimes visible immediately after the procedure, but at the latest after a few days. The increased formation of new collagen continues to improve the skin’s elasticity over the following weeks and months, so that the final result can be seen after around 6 months, when wound healing is finally complete and collagen production has been properly stimulated.

How long does the result last?

As a rule, the results achieved with Renuvion® are permanent, as long as there are no further significant weight fluctuations, which again put a lot of strain on the connective tissue.

When will I be socially acceptable again after a skin tightening with Renuvion®?

One of the advantages of Renuvion® is the short downtime associated with the treatment. In our experience at the prevention center in Zurich, 1-3 days are usually sufficient, during which you should allow yourself and your body to rest. You can then go back to work and resume your normal everyday activities. However, it is better to wait 2 weeks before doing sports or other physically strenuous activities. Depending on where the skin tightening was performed, you may need to wear compression garments to support the healing process.

What are the risks of skin tightening with Renuvion®?

Renuvion® skin tightening is considered a very safe procedure, especially when performed by experienced doctors, as is the case at our prevention center in Zurich. However, as with any procedure, there may be pain, swelling, minor bruising and temporary numbness at the incision sites. However, these symptoms usually subside on their own within a few days. A commercially available painkiller, which you can take in the first few days after treatment if necessary, also helps to relieve the pain. In rare cases, post-operative bleeding or inflammation may occur at the puncture sites. In these cases, please contact our prevention center in Zurich immediately.

How much does a skin tightening with Renuvion® cost?

Skin tightening with Renuvion® costs from CHF 2,900, but the costs depend on the location and extent of the treatment. They can therefore vary greatly from person to person. We will be happy to provide you with an individual quote after a non-binding consultation and a comprehensive examination at our prevention center in Zurich.
