Advantages of PRP treatment against hair loss at the prevention center

  • Treatment is carried out on an outpatient basis and requires no special pre- or post-treatment care
  • No typical side effects known
  • Use of the best material for the treatment
  • Successful application of the therapy for over 10 years

Hair Growth Concept

To promote hair growth and reduce hair loss, we offer the Hair Growth Concept at the prevention center. In contrast to normal PRP treatment, the scalp is prepared for the treatment using the micro needling procedure and Biton before the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is injected. This leads to a more effective absorption of the PRP and therefore to a better result. The micro-injuries in the skin caused by micro needling also stimulate cell renewal.

The therapy involves 4 PRP treatments, each of which is supplemented with an injection of a cocktail of vasodilators and biotin. While the vasodilators ensure that the PRP has an optimal effect, the biotin promotes hair growth.

In addition to the PRP treatments, you will also receive a home care package with special hair capsules and a serum for your scalp. The capsules should be taken regularly throughout the treatment period. The serum should be applied to the scalp in the evening for at least 1 month. Continued regular use of the serum and hair capsules will naturally promote the results of the treatment.

The Hair Groth Concept costs CHF 2,900 at the prevention center (4 sessions incl. biotin shot, 2 packs of HS capsules, 1 x Tricocure with 4 bottles).

Frequently asked questions about PRP hair loss

General information on PRP treatment against hair loss

What is a hair shot?

The Hair Shot is a treatment method for hair loss using the body’s own blood. Important healing and growth factors are extracted from this blood in high concentrations and then injected into the client’s scalp.

What are the causes of hair loss?

The hair roots are supplied with nutrients such as oxygen, vitamins, proteins and trace elements via the blood. If this is no longer the case, the hair can no longer grow healthily and falls out.

What does the Hair Shot do?

Important healing and growth factors for the hair are released by the PRP injected into the scalp and cause the hair to regenerate and revitalize.

Studies have also shown an increase in the number of hair roots, a significant thickening of the hair and skin layers, newly formed and strengthened connective tissue and the formation of new blood vessels around the hair root. Furthermore, a stimulation of the stem cells in the area of the follicles was proven.

Is PRP a natural treatment method?

The Hair Shot is composed exclusively of active ingredients that we have extracted from your body’s own blood. This makes the treatment a natural procedure based on special technical applications. By centrifuging the blood, its liquid and solid components are separated from each other. The liquid components (blood plasma), known as PRP, are then injected into the scalp without any further additives.

How can blood stop hair loss?

We use an innovative process to extract platelet-rich plasma from our customers’ blood. The so-called PRP contains a highly concentrated composition of healing and regenerating active ingredients. We make use of this and inject it specifically into the scalp. Once the autologous blood has been injected, it will develop its regenerative effect over the next few weeks and stimulate hair growth again.

Is PRP hair loss treatment suitable for me?

In both men and women, hair loss is hereditary in 95% of cases. In women, this form of hair loss leads to thin, sensitive hair with irregular thinning and loss in the area of the top of the head and middle parting. Men have to contend with receding hairlines and baldness. As hair transplants or chemical hormone blockades often involve too great a risk for the customer due to the extensive side effects, the Hair Shot offers the best way to counteract hair loss. However, for customers who have already undergone a hair transplant, PRP offers additional overall support for hair growth. The Hair Shot also achieves good results for customers who want to stop taking finasteride, for example.

How safe is injection with the Hair Shot?

The Hair Shot is a very safe method. Only the body’s own blood is used for injections without any additives. Therefore, allergic reactions or other intolerance reactions are excluded. We use certified, sterile disposable material for preparation.

What side effects can be caused by PRP hair loss treatment?

To date, no lasting side effects have been reported for the hair shot, which means that the injection has established itself as a very safe method. In rare cases, small hematomas, redness or swelling around the injection site may occur temporarily.

How often can the injection with the Hair Shot be repeated?

As the Hair Shot is purely the body’s own material, the injection can usually be repeated as often as required. However, there should be an interval of around 4 – 6 weeks between treatments.

How long does the effect of PRP hair loss treatment last?

Of course, the individual durability of the treatment depends on the personal circumstances of the customer. Experience has shown that our customers can enjoy the positive effects for around two years.

Who is allowed to perform an injection with the Hair Shot?

The effect of PRP is now widely known, so that various centers throughout Europe are involved in this treatment. To effectively combat hair loss, you should consult an experienced specialist who has been carrying out autologous blood treatments for many years.

Has success with PRP hair loss treatment been scientifically proven?

As the PRP procedure has been intensively researched for many years, there is no doubt about the effectiveness of treatment with the Hair Shot.

Procedure for PRP treatment against hair loss

How does the injection with the Hair Shot work?

The treatment takes about half an hour and is carried out on an outpatient basis at our prevention center in Zurich. No special pre- or post-treatment is required. We will take enough time for you beforehand to clarify all your questions and examine your symptoms. In the next step, a small amount of blood is taken, which we prepare using a special technical process in order to obtain the effective PRP. We then inject this into the scalp.

Is PRP hair loss treatment painful?

Experience has shown that the treatment is painless for our customers. After the treatment you can leave the practice without any problems.

Aftercare for PRP treatment against hair loss

How do I feel after the PRP hair loss treatment?

Immediately after PRP hair loss treatment, our clients generally feel very good. There may be short-term, slight swelling in the treatment area with possibly increased sensitivity, which can last for a few days.

When can I go back to work and exercise after PRP hair loss treatment?

Once you have received the hair shot, you can usually return to work or exercise immediately. However, you can only go to the swimming pool or sauna the next day.

Is a follow-up check necessary?

A personal follow-up check in our clinic is not necessary. However, we are interested in how you feel after the treatment and how effective the injections are for you. We will therefore arrange a telephone appointment after around eight weeks, during which you can tell us how you feel after the PRP hair loss treatment.

When are the first changes visible after PRP hair loss treatment?

According to our experience, the first changes can be seen after about 4 weeks, and the final result of the treatment can then be seen after several months. We recommend repeating the PRP hair loss treatment several times at intervals of 4 – 6 weeks in order to achieve optimum results.
