All medical treatments require prior consultation. A personalized estimate can be drawn up following this consultation.
A smooth, firm neck gives us a fresh, youthful appearance. However, as we age, the skin loses its elasticity, causing wrinkles to form in this sensitive region. As the skin on the neck is particularly thin, these age-related changes can only be stopped to a limited extent by skin care and diet.
At the prevention-center in Zurich, we offer you an effective solution with a neck lift. By selectively removing excess skin and gently tightening the tissue, we give your neck back its defined and smooth contour. Our aim is to achieve a natural, harmonious result that emphasizes your individual aesthetics. It is best to make an appointment for a non-binding consultation in our practice.

What is a neck lift?
A neck lift is a surgical procedure to smooth wrinkles and remove excess skin or fat deposits in the neck and chin area. At the prevention-center in Zurich, we use various methods that are individually tailored to your wishes and needs.
For whom is a neck lift interesting?
A neck lift may be an option for you if you are bothered by sagging tissue, wrinkles or fat deposits in the chin or neck area. Depending on the extent of the problem, a neck lift (possibly in combination with a facelift) at the prevention center in Zurich may be advisable for an optimal result.
What should I consider before a neck lift?
Good preparation is crucial to avoid complications. In particular, you should refrain from taking blood-thinning and anticoagulant medication. If you regularly take medication, please inform us at the first consultation at the prevention center in Zurich so that we can discuss the best course of action together.
What neck lift methods are available in Zurich?
Depending on the findings, different methods are used at the prevention center in Zurich. An anterior neck lift, for example, primarily involves the removal of excess skin under the chin. A small incision is made in the front of the chin to remove the excess tissue. In combination with a facelift, additional tightening is achieved through incisions behind the ear or along the hairline in the neck.
How does a neck lift work?
As with every treatment at the prevention-center in Zurich, we start with a detailed consultation in which we discuss your wishes and expectations. After an initial examination, we will explain suitable treatment methods and inform you about the procedure, duration, aftercare, possible risks and durability. Of course, you will always have the opportunity to ask questions.
Once you have decided on a treatment, an individual plan will be drawn up to achieve the desired result. Depending on the initial situation, the procedure takes between 1.5 and 3 hours and is usually performed under general anesthesia.
What all treatment methods have in common is that an incision is made at a specific point to remove excess tissue. This results in a tightening effect, which leads to a younger appearance overall. When you can leave the prevention center in Zurich again depends on various factors and varies greatly from person to person. In order to optimally support both the healing process and the result, you should follow our instructions for aftercare precisely at all times.
What needs to be considered after a neck lift?
Allow yourself sufficient rest after the neck lift. You should keep your head elevated and sleep on your back for the first few days after the operation. Cooling can help to reduce swelling. Please observe the agreed wearing time for bandages and attend your follow-up appointments. We will check the healing process and give you further supportive tips if necessary.
Frequently asked questions about neck lift
What are the risks of a neck lift?
For our experienced doctors at the prevention center in Zurich, a neck lift is a proven procedure with low risks. Nevertheless, as with any surgical procedure, post-operative bleeding, wound healing problems and infections can occur. Slight swelling or redness are normal and usually subside after a few days. If you have any other complaints, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
When are you socially acceptable again after a neck lift and when are you able to do sports again?
After one to two weeks, you will usually be able to socialize again. Light occupational activities and exercise (walks) are then already possible again. However, you should still be careful with physical exertion and sport so as not to jeopardize the healing process. We recommend becoming more physically active again after three to four weeks at the earliest. You should start with light exercises and then slowly increase them (in duration and intensity).
When will the final result be visible and how long will it last?
After around three to six months, all swelling has subsided and the final result is visible. The effect is long-lasting, but even surgery cannot stop the natural ageing process. A healthy diet, abstinence from alcohol and nicotine, plenty of exercise, sufficient sleep and little stress can preserve the result for many years.
Are scars visible after a neck lift?
Every surgical incision leaves a scar. However, thanks to skillful incisions and good scar care, the scar is barely visible. In a neck lift, the incision is made under the chin or behind the ears. In rare cases, raised scars may occur, but these can also be professionally corrected at our prevention center in Zurich.
