Further information
A radiantly beautiful complexion and smooth, firm skin are a symbol of attractiveness, youth and health. However, as we age, the skin becomes sagging and small wrinkles appear. The complexion appears paler and sallow, the skin texture coarser. But it doesn’t have to stay that way, because there is a highly effective facial treatment that you can use to do something good for your skin quickly and gently: To positively support skin health and provide relief for skin problems, we offer the innovative HydraFacial treatment at the prevention-center in Zurich.
Advantages of a HydraFacial treatment at the prevention center
- Precise analysis of your skin for customized treatment concepts
- Gentle & low-pain treatment method
- Tailored to the needs of your skin
- Hygiene and quality standards at the highest level
What is HydraFacial?
HydraFacial is an innovative method of facial treatment. It consists of several steps which, among other things, serve to treat oily skin and make the skin structure more even. The aim is to improve the elasticity and firmness of the skin and increase the luminosity of the complexion. Hyperpigmentation / sun damage and advanced signs of ageing can also be effectively treated with the HydraFacial method.
How does a HydraFacial work?
Before a HydraFacial, we conduct a detailed personal consultation at the prevention center. We explain the individual course of the treatment and inform you about possible risks and the expected results. After a thorough examination and analysis of your skin, we will draw up a treatment plan that is precisely tailored to your skin’s needs – a major advantage of the HydraFacial method. This is because the individual treatment steps can not only be precisely coordinated, but also varied depending on your age and skin condition.
The first step is a superficial cleansing of the skin to remove dead skin cells. This also removes blackheads, sebum and make-up residue. The subsequent fruit acid peel dissolves deeper deposits in the pores, which are then pulled out of the pore structure using a vacuum. This deep cleansing is absolutely painless, but very effective. It optimally prepares the skin for the next step.
We then carry out a dermal infusion to introduce antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and hyaluronic acid into the skin. These substances provide the skin with important nutrients and moisture. It goes without saying that we only use high-quality ingredients at our clinic in Zurich to provide your skin with the best possible support. Optionally, subsequent LED light therapy can further support the treatment. The first results are visible immediately after the treatment.
Frequently asked questions about the HydraFacial
How does a HydraFacial work?
The HydraFacial treatment consists of several consecutive treatment steps that are tailored to the individual needs of the skin:
- Removal of dead skin cells
- Fruit acid peel to remove deep-seated impurities
- Deep cleaning of dissolved residues
- Supplying the skin with highly effective nutrients and vital substances
- Light therapy
For which indications is HydraFacial suitable?
HydraFacial is suitable for treating a wide range of skin problems. Depending on the individual problem and desire for improvement, the treatment can be varied and used to target the following problems:
- greasy, oily skin
- Impurities (clogged pores)
- Pore refinement (enlarged pores)
- pale, stressed skin
- Hyperpigmentation
- Folds
Who is a HydraFacial treatment suitable for?
The HydraFacial treatment is suitable for women and men of all skin types. Even patients with sensitive skin or acne can usually be treated without any problems and benefit from the advantages of this method.
What should I consider before and after the HydraFacial?
No special preparation is necessary for a HydraFacial at the prevention-center in Zurich. However, if you regularly take medication, it may be necessary to temporarily discontinue it after consultation with the prevention-center. Please therefore inform us in good time about the medication you are taking so that we can discuss alternative options.
Most of our patients are fit for social life again immediately after treatment and have no downtime. However, temporary irritation, redness and tension may occur, which usually subside within 72 hours. You should also avoid intensive sun exposure after the treatment and refrain from going to the sauna or doing sport for at least 1 day.
Can scars occur after a HydraFacial?
No, the HydraFacial is a non-invasive treatment method that does not damage the skin. Cleaning is carried out using water and a vacuum.
What results can I expect after the treatment?
Immediately after the treatment, the skin feels smoother and appears firmer. After 2-3 days, it looks significantly fresher and more radiant. Unevenness, redness or enlarged pores also disappear after a few sessions.
The HydraFacial method improves:
- the elasticity and firmness of the skin
- the luminosity of the complexion
- the uniformity of the house structure
- Hyperpigmentation / sun damage
- Oily, congested skin
- Advanced signs of ageing of the skin
Are further HydraFacial treatments necessary?
For a lasting treatment result, we recommend that our patients repeat the treatment every 4-6 weeks at the prevention center in Zurich.
Can a HydraFacial be combined with other treatments?
Yes, this is possible. For example, a combination with lymphatic drainage and LED light therapy, which stimulates collagen production in the skin and is intended to provide more elasticity, is ideal.
We often recommend a HydraFacial to our patients before a more intensive treatment in order to optimally support its effect. Conversely, however, a HydraFacial should be performed at the earliest 7-10 days after a wrinkle treatment with gentle injections or hyaluronic acid.
Are there any risks with a HydraFacial?
The HydraFacial treatment is considered a very gentle and painless procedure. However, it is possible that the skin may become red, irritated or tense shortly after the treatment, but this will subside on its own within a short time. Until then, slight redness can be easily concealed with a little make-up.
Patients with vascularly fragile skin have a certain risk of so-called telangiectasias, which are visible dilatations of the smallest blood vessels on the surface of the skin. However, these are quite rare.
After the treatment, sun damage or hyperpigmentation of the skin may occur due to direct, intensive sun exposure. To avoid this, we recommend avoiding direct sunlight for at least 1 week and using a light sunscreen (SPF30).
