PicoPlus is a picosecond laser that was developed especially for aesthetic skin treatments. The laser emits ultra-short pulses of energy that only penetrate the treated areas of skin for around a trillionth of a second. Compared to the nanosecond lasers frequently used to date, the PicoPlus picosecond laser therefore achieves faster and higher quality results while minimizing the number of sessions required.

The lens combination makes it possible to effectively focus the already powerful energy pulses of the picosecond laser. As a result, the laser produces an extremely precise depth effect.

Prior to wrinkle treatment, a detailed consultation takes place on the premises of the prevention center. The consultation helps to inform customers about the opportunities and risks of the treatment and to specify the customer’s individual correction wishes.

To ensure complication-free laser treatment and subsequent healing, it is advisable to avoid intensive sun exposure for a few days before and after wrinkle treatment. It is also important that the areas of skin to be corrected are free of skin diseases and inflammatory processes at the time of treatment.

PicoPlus performs non-ablative wrinkle smoothing – it is therefore not necessary to remove skin particles in order to achieve successful treatment. The laser’s focused micro-beams only hit the areas of skin to be smoothed. Surrounding tissue remains unaffected by the treatment. The microbeams used to smooth wrinkles cause minimal local tissue damage in the dermis (dermis) and epidermis (epidermis) – in the course of the natural healing process, the corresponding tissue areas are then replaced by a healthy and even tissue structure with sufficient amounts of natural collagen.

The laser treatment can also cause minimal punctiform bleeding, which is similar in size to an abrasion and is not usually a cause for concern.
