Further information

Not only the face and neck, but also the hands can reveal a woman’s true age. After all, the hands are often exposed to the elements without protection, which makes the skin look old more quickly. It is thinner and less elastic, small wrinkles form and the blood vessels are more visible. Rejuvenated, smooth hands are essential for a harmonious, younger appearance – especially if facial wrinkle treatments or a facelift have already been carried out or are still planned. Our hand rejuvenation with the innovative Radiesse filler is a useful addition if you want to look naturally younger.

Advantages of hand rejuvenation with Radiesse at the prevention center

  • Innovative treatment method
  • Allergic reactions almost impossible
  • Hygiene and quality standards at the highest level
  • In-depth consultation & planning of hand rejuvenation
  • Individually adapted treatment methods

Effect of Radiesse

Visible skin ageing is mainly caused by the progressive breakdown of collagen over the years. The filler Radiesse is ideal for compensating for volume loss in the back of the hand. When injected into the back of the hand, Radiesse immediately provides more fullness. This also smoothes the skin, making the hands appear firmer and more youthful. In contrast to other filling materials, Radiesse is not broken down by the body without a trace, but is gradually replaced by the body’s own collagen. Another advantage of hand rejuvenation with Radiesse: It is a filler with calcium hydroxylappatite particles that are identical to a substance naturally present in bones. Allergic reactions are therefore virtually impossible.

The duration of effect depends on the individual conditions. As a rule, it lasts up to twelve months, after which a repeat treatment is necessary. The treatment can be repeated as often as required.

Hand rejuvenation - treatment procedure

The filling material is injected into the skin of the back of the hand in small quantities using a cannula. As a rule, visible results can be achieved with a single treatment. The treatment takes about 30 minutes. Depending on the client’s sensitivity to pain, the treatment may cause slight pain. If desired, a local anesthetic cream can be applied beforehand. No further adverse effects are to be expected just one to two days after the treatment. A follow-up treatment takes place four weeks after hand rejuvenation with Radiesse. Optionally, any existing pigment spots, known as age spots, can also be removed with a special laser to enhance the rejuvenation effect.

Before treatment with Radiesse

Please let us know before a treatment with fillers,

  • if other wrinkle treatment products have already been used on you (many products cannot be combined with each other)
  • if you have taken blood-thinning medication within the last 7 days before treatment (e.g. medication containing acetylsalicylic acid or medication or preparations containing vitamin E or gingko, including multivitamin preparations). This increases the risk of bruising (haematoma) after treatment
  • if you occasionally suffer from cold sores (treatment in the corresponding area can trigger a new flare-up)
  • if you have a known allergy to injectable filling materials
  • if you are pregnant or breastfeeding (treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended)

Many customers have their hands rejuvenated at the end of the day. If any minor irritations are also covered up afterwards, the treatment is generally not noticed by work colleagues, for example, apart from the desired positive effect.

Risks & side effects of hand rejuvenation

Treatments with Radiesse are very safe, as the microparticles used in the filler are identical to a substance found in bones. The majority of customers treated with Radiesse report very satisfactory results. Notable side effects are rare. However, reactions to the injections may occur after treatment, such as swelling, redness or pain, which usually subside on their own within a few days. Further information on the risks and side effects of Radiesse can be obtained from your doctor.

Frequently asked questions about hand rejuvenation with Radiesse

Who is a hand rejuvenation with Radiesse suitable for?

Hand rejuvenation with Radiesse is generally suitable for all our customers who are bothered by the fact that their hands make them look older than they are. Over time, the skin on the hands also loses elasticity and volume, causing wrinkles to form and veins to become particularly prominent. However, age spots can also be professionally removed in our clinic as part of hand rejuvenation.

How long do the results of hand rejuvenation last?

Our clients usually benefit from the results of hand rejuvenation in our clinic for around a year. How long the result actually lasts naturally also depends on the individual skin ageing processes.

Can the hand rejuvenation be repeated?

Once the effect of the treatment has worn off and a refresher treatment is desired, the hand rejuvenation can be repeated without any problems.

Is hand rejuvenation painful?

Whether hand rejuvenation is perceived as painful depends on the individual’s perception of pain. Our customers usually report a particularly painless treatment, but we can also apply an appropriate local anesthetic cream for anxious or sensitive customers.
